H, you were a truly wonderful friend & colleague. Every call you would spend making us laugh. You would send the most beautiful photos of the harbour on your much-loved morning walks. Have us gripped with stories of your adventures and the mischief you would get into with Neil and your friends near and far. You were kind, caring and had time for everyone. The afternoon natters with you and your funny hats will be missed so so much by us all. As you would say, TTFN xxx

I had the pleasure of working with Hilary in the Wrexham office of the Development Bank of Wales - she made me feel so welcome and was such fun - always making people smile. Her memory will live on and we should all be more like Hilary and seize every opportunity and not take life too seriously.

Hilary was one of life’s Good People. She had an insatiable zest for living and had experienced many rich chapters in her life. She was such a positive person, always optimistic, kind and gracious. She was generous of spirit and unstinting with her time. And time is probably the most precious gift anyone can give to someone else. She understood the value of friendships more than anyone I know. Most people are not good at that, me included, but for Hilary it was a natural thing to do. Her life was rich in so many ways, especially the joy she shared with the love of her life, Neil. More than that, she was the person who enriched the lives of everyone she met. In fact, everyone’s life was richer for knowing Hilary. Everyone needs a Hilary in their life. Although she will be sorely missed, she will be with us for ever. I’m blessed to have known her and privileged to have been her uncle.

What a beautiful spirit, gone far too soon! Hilary could see the humour in pretty much everything, and I loved that about her. So kind, generous, thoughtful, always considerate of others. Rest in Peace, my friend, I will miss your beautiful nature photos on Facebook.

It was shocking to hear of the loss of Hilary. I am so grateful to have been your neighbour for a short time, and treasure the friendship that I enjoyed with Hilary and Neil, and the adventures we shared. My time in the UK and spending three weeks with you last year was amazing, so many good memories of happy times. So happy and ready to experience all life had to offer. You will be deeply missed.

So many fond memories of our 30 plus years friendship, from your bean sprout sandwiches to your lemon drizzle cake and our long telephone calls whilst you took one of your daily walks by the harbour, we put the world to rights, I will carry these with me forever. I grew up with Hilary in St John’s Road. We played happily as children and then more recently I would wave and say hi when she was jogging in our local area early morning like I do. My thoughts are with all of her family. I’m unable to make the funeral. But I will be thinking of you all.❤️
